Alex Stensel is the band’s resident guitar slinger, sonic explorer, and occasional pirate. His musical awakening came early, the first time he watched Pete Townshend slide across the stage with guitar in hand. In that moment, young Alex discovered what he describes as “the true meaning of cool”—an experience so powerful it nearly rivaled Christmas itself.
Lee
Li Haoyang—known to the band simply as Lee—holds down the low end with a calm presence and a deep musical sensibility rooted in feel, groove, and everyday listening. Where some musicians trace their origin stories to dramatic moments of inspiration, Lee’s path into music is much simpler: somewhere around middle school, he realized music was just something he wanted to do. No big reason—he just wanted to play.
Liam
Liam Butler is a musician, songwriter, and audiophile with a deep passion for sound. A lifelong student of music theory and history, Liam brings a scholar’s knowledge and an artist’s heart to everything he creates.
charlie
Charlie—also known as Charlito the Divine Groovesmen Conqueror of Sound—is the rhythmic backbone of the band, a drummer whose style blends raw instinct, irreverent humor, and a deep love of groove. His path into music began less with a grand artistic awakening and more with a practical discovery: singing “Sir Psycho Sexy” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers had a remarkable ability to impress his first girlfriend. From that moment on, Charlie figured music was probably the right move.
